121 Workwear Fund Raising for Lillian’s New Bespoke Bike
A huge THANK YOU! We appreciate all the support so far for raising money for Lillian's bike so far! We have exceeded target but we want to keep going!
Julie Cussons who has been with the business for 4 years has been looking to purchase a bike that allows Lillian to cycle freely like any other young child without her disability affecting her ability to do so. The company has committed to £750 and the staff are all pulling together to raise the remaining funds with two events, a quiz night at the Black Horse Pub, Kirkby Fleetham (date TBC) and a 30 mile charity bike ride from Tan Hill Inn, Tan Hill to Kirkby Fleetham which is happening on the 6th April.
The four hour bike ride will be attended by the entire 121 Workwear team along with suppliers and customers, anyone who would like to join us is welcome.
Lillian is a fun, loving girl who from the age of six month started having seizure-like episodes and now at the age of five, after years of tests and visits to the hospital, Lillian has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy and tests are still being carried out for further investigation.
We are a rapidly growing company and looking to offer local people opportunities in a dynamic and forward thinking organisation, business founder AJ Swinbank added “The business is all about giving back to loyal dedicated people where we can and it is very important that where possible we can support the team and their families that supports the business on a daily basis.”
Julie Cussons who has been an integral part of the business since the very first days of trade has been overwhelmed by the support “the team here at 121 Workwear have blown me away with their support for my family and it brings me to tears thinking about the sacrifices my co-workers are making to a dream for my daughter into a reality”
We would really appreciate any support that you can make.
All donations over the purchase price of the bespoke bike will be donated to Macmillan.
