Artwork Guideline

By taking a look at our artwork guidelines, you can avoid unnecessary charges and delays whilst securing the best customisation possible.

If you don’t have your artwork in a suitable format for customisation, we will be able to convert your file to a suitable type for £14.99.

Vector AI files and EPS files

Vector Illustrator and EPS files are our preferred files types. To find out whether your image is a vector or bitmap, simply zoom in. When you zoom into a vector, your image will be free of distortion and jagged edges. Your image and its edges will become blocky if you zoom into a bitmap.

Pantone spot colours

It’s essential that all colours are converted to spot colours. You can change individual colours to their Pantone spot colours with packages such as Illustrator. You can find out more by browsing the internet or reading the software documentation. When screen printing takes place, we print one colour at a time, which is why we require colour separated files. This makes the printing process quicker and more efficient.

Embedding fonts and converting fonts to paths (or curves)

Do your logos include any fonts or typefaces? If so, they must be converted to paths or curves, depending on your software package. This process converts the fronts to graphics objects which cannot be changed. We will not be able to match your artwork if we don’t have the equivalent font.

TIF and PSD bitmap files

Any artwork files you send us must be the same size as the actual print size or larger. They must be a minimum of 300dpi at the print size, and colours must be separated in layers. If we need to manipulate the file, you may incur further charges.

Adobe PDF files

It’s vital that PDFs are created from vector files, with edit capabilities maintained. If you simply create a bitmap file and save it as a PDF file, this will not be usable and we will need to charge a re-draw free.

Embroidery

High-resolution JPG, BMP, TIF, EPS, AI

We are able to accept any file type providing it features high-quality resolution. If you are ordering from us for the first time, you will be charged a one-off £14.99 fee so your logos and graphics can be digitised. We will store your embroidered artwork on file so you don’t need to pay this again in future.
